Since 1992, Westwind Frame & Gallery has been a quiet cornerstone of downtown The Dalles — a workshop where generations of families have brought their most treasured pieces to be cared for, framed, and given the presentation they deserve.
We believe framing is more than finishing — it's the art of honoring memory. That's why our shop on East 2nd Street features the Wizard Z1 computerized mat cutter, allowing us to enhance any work of art with custom etching, debossing, and intricate mat styles impossible to achieve by hand alone — paired with the same patience and precision we've practiced for over thirty years.

Every framing project at Westwind follows a thoughtful four-step process — designed to make sure the finished piece feels exactly right.
Consultation
Bring your piece in or schedule a visit. We listen, ask questions, and learn the story behind your artwork.
Design Selection
Choose from hundreds of mouldings, mats, and glazing options. We'll guide every decision with experienced eyes.
Handcrafted Framing
Your frame is built in our downtown workshop — cut, joined, and finished by hand using archival materials.
Delivery & Installation
Pick up in-store or we'll deliver and hang it for you anywhere in the Gorge — perfectly leveled, perfectly placed.
Typical turnaround: 2–3 weeks
Rush framing available for weddings, gifts, and special occasions — just ask when you stop by.
